Hello, I’m Alex — sound healer, coach, mindfulness teacher, holistic voice therapist, mum of two teenage boys and eternal course-junkie (seriously, I love learning!).

If you’ve landed here, chances are life feels a bit “meh” right now. Maybe you’re juggling work, motherhood, relationships and trying to remember who you are underneath it all.

 

Maybe you’re constantly “on,” always giving to others, but not quite sure when you last felt truly seen, heard or inspired. I know that place intimately — because I’ve been there too.

​From Stuck and Stressed to Sound and Strong

 

The Journey Begins (with a Curveball)

For most of my career, I worked in the public sector, doing roles that aligned with my values and felt like they made a difference. But then in 2003, redundancy struck and I ended up in a job that just didn’t fit. I was stuck, bored and directionless — and that’s when coaching came into my life. It helped me figure out what made me tick, what I valued and what lit me up inside. Within three months, I found a new job that I loved and, even better, a sense of purpose. Supporting others felt like home, so I trained as a coach.

Life was looking good. Then… well, life happened. Again.

When “Fine” Isn’t Fine

Marriage, motherhood, work — I was doing all the things, ticking all the boxes and feeling more and more invisible. Coaching didn’t quite reach the parts I needed healing this time, but mindfulness did. I stumbled into an 8-week mindfulness course and it cracked something open in me. I felt like I was waking up from a fog. The old spark returned. I felt lighter. Freer. More me than I’d felt in years. I went on to study mindfulness deeply and began teaching it, as well as running coaching programmes that really helped people reconnect with themselves.

And then… … COVID.

The Breaking Point That Became a Breakthrough

I was trying to do it all — work full time in a high-stress role (due to COVID), home-school my boys, grow my business, cope with a relationship that left me feeling drained and disconnected, and stay upbeat during a global pandemic. Unsurprisingly, something had to give. I burned out. Twice. The second time, I finally gave myself permission to pause, to truly rest and to ask: What do I really need to heal?

And that’s when sound found me.

I’d always loved words and language and through NLP I’d learned the power of words on the subconscious. But sound? Sound was a revelation. The vibrations, the resonance, the way it bypassed all the overthinking and went straight to the soul — it was like coming home. I trained in sound healing, began working with my beloved gong (Gloria!), and watched not only my emotional and spiritual health improve, but even my physical hearing condition (Cookie Bite Hearing Loss) shift in ways audiologists hadn’t seen before.

Now, I bring everything together — coaching, mindfulness, NLP, Reiki, sound therapy, holistic voice work — to create safe, soulful, and supportive spaces for women who are ready to reconnect with who they really are.

Let’s Be Honest: I don’t have all the answers — but I do have the tools, the lived experience, and the heart to help you find your own.

I’m not here to preach or promise quick fixes. I’m here to hold space for your growth, your healing and your return to yourself. I’ve been through the dark days. I’ve had the panic attacks, the fog, the not knowing where to turn. And I’ve also stood still in the sunshine, feeling the quiet joy of doing something just for me — no guilt, no explanation needed.
