Sound Healing

Come home to your body.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is stop.

Sound healing is one of the most accessible ways I know to do exactly that.

Through the vibration of gongs, Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls and percussion, your body and mind are gently invited into stillness and steadiness. The mind softens. The nervous system (often running on overdrive without us even realising) begins to feel safe. And when it feels safe, it can finally start to restore.

This is not about fixing you. You are not broken. This is about giving your system the chance to rest and reset.

What is Sound Healing?

You may have come across the terms sound bath, gong bath, sound therapy, sound meditation or sound massage and wondered what the difference is. In my work, the difference is between a group experience and an individual experience. In a group setting my intention is to offer the group a space for relaxation and improved overall wellbeing. In my one-to-one sessions, the intention is led by what you need.

We are all vibrational beings. Like instruments, we can fall out of tune physically, mentally, emotionally. Sound healing works by using vibration to gently bring us back into harmony. The sound moves through the body, can clear what's stuck and create the conditions for natural restoration.

It bypasses the thinking mind entirely, which is why it can reach places that talking sometimes can't.

I work with gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls and percussion instruments, each creating layered vibrations that invite the body into a deeper state of rest and ease.

How Sound Healing Can Help You

Sound healing is not just relaxation, though deep relaxation can be a wonderful part of it. People often notice:

· Reduced stress and a sense of ease

· Improved sleep

· Emotional release, sometimes unexpected, always welcome

· Clarity and a feeling of reconnection

· Relief from muscle tension

· A quietening of anxiety

· Simply feeling more like themselves again

You don't need to have a specific reason to come. Sometimes you just know you need to stop for a while.

What is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a group experience where you are, quite literally, bathed in sound.

You'll lie down on a yoga mat with blankets, pillows and whatever makes you feel cosy and settled. I'll guide you through a meditation to gently relax, and then the sound journey begins. Layers of gongs, Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls and gentle percussion weave together into a soundscape that holds you.

There's nothing to do. No right way to experience it. Some people drift into a dreamlike state, some see colours or have unexpected realisations, some simply rest more deeply than they have in a long time. Others find their minds stay busy for a while before softening. Some feel no difference at all. All of it is fine.

Each session is different. Each person's experience within it is different too.

I offer monthly sound baths in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire and also offer private group sound baths for colleagues, friends and families.

If you’d like to find out more about a private group sound bath, feel free to get in touch; I'm always happy to have a conversation first.

One-to-One Sound Bath Sessions

A one-to-one sound session is a more personal, tailored experience; just you in a quiet space with the sound shaped around your needs that day.

We begin with a conversation so I can understand where you are and what you're carrying. You'll then lie down comfortably, and I'll place Tibetan singing bowls around your body (or on your body if it feels right and you give permission). The vibrations work directly through you.

This kind of session is particularly supportive if you're experiencing:

· Burnout or exhaustion

· Anxiety or a constant sense of being "on"

· Disrupted sleep

· Muscle tension or physical holding

· A feeling of disconnection from yourself

Sessions are available in Buckinghamshire. If you're not sure whether this is right for you, feel free to get in touch; I'm always happy to have a conversation first.
